Obverse description Crowned quartered coat of arms, combining the arms of the Rohan family and those of the Order of St. John, displayed on the breast of a double-headed eagle. The shield is surmounted by the Grand Master's crown, and the eagle's heads are absent in this type, giving the design a distinctive heraldic character. The surrounding legend names the Grand Master in Latin.
