Reverse description Central field carries a four-line Bengali script legend reading 'Raja / Mohamed / Thamada / San 1144', the final line giving the Bengali era date corresponding to 1782 CE. The bold square-style script characters fill the flan in the same dense, angular manner as the obverse. An inner rope or cable circle encloses the legend, with a finely executed dentilated or leaf-pattern border running along the outer edge of the coin. The hammered technique produces a characteristically uneven surface with natural die flow marks across the silver fabric.
