The Qarluqs of Hazara were a minor Muslim dynasty controlling the Pakli region in what is now the Hazara division of northwestern Pakistan, operating as tributaries within the fractured political geography left by the declining Ghaznavid sphere. Coinage from this dynasty is exceptionally rare in any condition, surviving almost entirely in institutional collections.
The A&M 2467 reference places this piece within Album's corpus of Islamic coinage, where Qarluq issues occupy only a handful of entries.
