| Reverse description | Hammered silver reverse displaying the Islamic shahada in two lines of Arabic calligraphic script, occupying the central field of the irregular flan. The upper line reads 'La ilaha illa Allah' (There is no god but God) and the lower line reads 'Muhammad rasul Allah' (Muhammad is the messenger of God), executed in a bold Naskh hand consistent with Central Asian coinage of the period. The striking is characteristically uneven with areas of weak impression and flan cracks visible toward the edges. |
