| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse field is entirely occupied by a bold two-line Arabic inscription identifying the ruler by his royal titles, characteristic of Bahmani sultanate silver tankas struck at Gulbarga (Ahsanabad). The legend reads 'Taj al-Dunya wa'l-Din / Firuz Shah al-Sultan', meaning 'Crown of the World and the Faith, Sultan Firuz Shah', affirming the full regnal titulature of Taj-ud-din Firuz Shah. The lettering is rendered in a robust, angular Naskh-influenced hand, filling the flan from edge to edge with minimal open field. The coin displays the characteristic irregular planchet shape and uneven strike typical of hammered medieval Deccan coinage. Surface shows natural aging and minor porosity consistent with genuine medieval silver issues of the Bahmani Sultanate. |
