Obverse description Hammered silver tanka of irregular flan with boldly struck multi-line Arabic legends arranged across the field in the characteristic Bahmani style. The obverse bears a four-line inscription in Arabic script reading the regnal date '٨٠٤' (AH 804) in the uppermost line, followed by the honorific epithets 'al-Sultan al-'ahd wa'l-zaman / al-Wathiq bi-ta'yid al-Rahman / Abu al-Muzaffar', conferring upon the sultan the titles of 'Confident in the support of the Merciful' and 'Father of the Victorious'. The lettering is executed in a bold, angular hand characteristic of early Bahmani coinage, with individual characters occupying the full breadth of the flan. Mint name and additional formulae are distributed within the surrounding field. The coin exhibits typical die-struck irregularities and surface porosity consistent with hammered medieval Indian coinage.
