| Beschrijving voorzijde | Hammered silver tanka with an octagonal central panel enclosed within a circular border, both filled with densely arranged Arabic legends in the Naskh script. The central field bears the royal titles and name of the sultan, Sikandar Shah ibn Ilyas Shah, arranged in multiple horizontal lines within the geometric frame. The marginal legend encircling the central panel continues the royal epithets, including the epithet al-Wathiq bi-ta'yid al-Rahman Abu al-Mujahid. The names of the four Rightly Guided Caliphs — Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali — appear as pious invocations within the design. The coin surface is characteristic of hammered coinage, with slightly irregular flan edges and well-struck bold lettering. |
