Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal line. The upper register bears the honorific epithet 'Al-muwaiyad bi-ta'id al-Rahman' and the royal name 'Shams', while the lower register carries the titles 'al-duniya wal-din Abul Nasr'. The inscription is executed in a bold, angular Naskh style characteristic of Gujarat Sultanate coinage. The coin exhibits an irregular flan with flat, slightly worn fields typical of hammered billon issues of this period.
