Obverse description The obverse field is entirely occupied by a bold Arabic legend in three lines, executed in a bold Naskh-style script characteristic of Jaunpur Sultanate coinage. The inscription reads 'Ibrahim Shah al-Sultani khulidat mamlakatahu' (Ibrahim Shah the Sultan, may his kingdom endure), filling the flan to its irregular edges. The raised lettering is deeply struck against a flat, unadorned field, with no additional decorative elements or border. The hammered fabric results in a somewhat uneven surface, typical of medieval Indian billon coinage of this period.

Reverse description The reverse is similarly dominated by a multi-line Arabic legend in bold Naskh script, reading 'Al-Khalifa Amir al-Mu'minin khulidat khilafatahu' (The Caliph, Commander of the Faithful, may his caliphate endure), a pious formula acknowledging Abbasid suzerainty. The inscription is arranged in three horizontal registers across the full width of the flan, with raised letters standing prominently against the flat field. No border, mint name, or date appears on this face, consistent with many issues of the Jaunpur Sultanate. The irregular edge and uneven strike reflect the hand-hammered production technique of the mint.
