Obverse description Hammered copper flan of irregular round form bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold Naskh script, divided by a prominent horizontal line across the field. The upper register displays the royal titulature in raised relief, while the lower register carries a continuation of the legend. The striking is characteristic of mid-sixteenth-century Gujarati mint practice, with letters rendered in a thick, somewhat cursive hand. The coin exhibits an olive-brown patina with areas of green copper oxidation, typical of long-buried Sultanate copper coinage.
