| Beschrijving voorzijde | Hammered silver tanka with a central pellet or boss visible in the field. The obverse is entirely occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend arranged within a circular border, reading in three lines: 'Shams al-Dunya wa al-Din / Abu al-Muzaffar / Ilyas Shah al-Sultan', proclaiming the royal titles and name of the sultan. The script is bold Naskh, deeply struck, filling the entire flan with characteristic Bengal sultanate calligraphic style. The irregular flan and uneven strike are typical of hammered coinage of this period. |
