| Beschrijving keerzijde | Reverse field entirely occupied by bold Arabic calligraphic inscription in multiple lines, rendered in the angular Naskh style characteristic of Gujarat Sultanate issues. The legend names the sultan and his lineage, reading Mahmud Shah ibn Latif Shah al-Sultan. The lettering is deeply struck in high relief with prominent individual characters that overlap the coin's circular rim. The reverse inscription completes the royal titulature begun on the obverse, following the standard formula of Gujarat Sultanate tanka coinage of the mid-sixteenth century. |
