Reverse description The reverse displays a bold multi-line Arabic legend in Naskh script arranged in horizontal registers across the field, recording the name and titles of Sultan Muzaffar Shah II of Gujarat. The inscription occupies the full flan with no border or decorative frame, consistent with the hammered coinage tradition of the Gujarat Sultanate. The script is deeply struck with characteristically broad strokes, and patches of green patina fill the recesses. The overall presentation is typical of the copper tanka coinage issued under the later sultans of the Muzaffarid dynasty.
