Obverse description Hammered billon tanka with the entire field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script, arranged horizontally across the flan. The legend reads a votive formula referencing the servant awaiting God's mercy, followed by the ruler's name Muhammad bin Tughluq. Dot ornaments punctuate the inscription between lines. The die-struck lettering is bold and deeply incuse, consistent with the hammered coinage style of the Delhi Sultanate, with no border or decorative frame.
