Reverse description The reverse displays a multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script spread across the full field, identifying the ruler by his full regnal titulature: 'Ala al-Dunya wa al-Din / Abu al-Muzaffar Husain Shah al-Sultan / ibn Sayyid Ashraf al-Husayni.' The legends are arranged in three horizontal registers filling the flan, executed in boldly raised relief characteristic of Bengal Sultanate hammered silver coinage. A linear border encircles the inscription field, and the flan is irregular in outline as typical of hand-struck medieval Indian issues.
