Muhammad Shah II "Ghiyas-ud-Din" ruled Gujarat during a period of relative internal stability, but his reign coincided with persistent pressure from the Malwa Sultanate to the northeast. The Gujarat mint output under his authority is poorly documented in contemporary sources, making die studies the primary tool for sequencing his copper issues.
