| Obverse description | Hammered copper flan bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription filling the entire field, executed in the bold Tughra-influenced Naskh script characteristic of Gujarat Sultanate coinage. The legend is arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal line bisecting the field, with the royal titulature of Sultan Muhammad Shah II (Ghiyas ud-Din) inscribed throughout. The coin surface displays the irregular, slightly convex profile typical of hand-struck medieval Indian copper tankas, with a naturalpatina of green cuprite and verdigris. The coin has no border or peripheral decoration, with the inscription extending to the very edge of the flan. |
