Fath Khan never ruled the Delhi Sultanate — he was the son of Firuz Shah Tughluq and was granted the privilege of having coins struck in his name while his father still reigned, an unusual concession within the Tughluq dynastic structure. He predeceased Firuz Shah, dying in 1374, meaning these tankas were issued for a prince who never became sultan.
