| Opschrift voorzijde | غياث الدنيا والدين ابو المظفر اعظم شاه السلطان |
| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse field is fully occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in naskh script, arranged in horizontal registers across the irregular hammered flan. The inscription reads 'Nasir Amir al-Mu'minin Ghawth al-Islam wa'l-Muslimin', invoking the Abbasid Caliph as Commander of the Faithful and proclaiming the sultan's role as protector of Islam and the Muslims. No mint name or regnal year is visible on this face, these being distributed across the two sides according to the standard Bengal Sultanate die layout. The struck silver surface shows characteristic flow lines and slight weakness at the periphery consistent with hand-hammered production. The calligraphy is boldly rendered in a style characteristic of late fourteenth- to early fifteenth-century Bengal issues. |
