| Reverse description | Central monogram formed by the overlapping letters A and T, representing 'A Tanga', struck in bold relief on the irregular hammered flan. The letters D and M, abbreviating 'De Malaca', appear at either side of the central monogram in the field. The syllabic fragments '(sia)' and '(anga)' derived from the word 'Asia' and 'Tanga' are implied by the arrangement of letters. A partial beaded border is visible along the upper edge of the flan. |
