Reverse of this hammered silver tamlueng presents the convex outer face of the crescent-form flan, its surface bearing a prominent circular punch mark with a beaded or cable border enclosing a stylised spiral or conch-shell motif characteristic of Lanna Northern Kingdom coinage. Additional incuse script characters in the Fak Ham Lanna script are dispersed across the upper arc of the field, indicating mint identification marks applied by individual issuing authorities. The folded and squared lower terminal of the crescent is clearly visible, reflecting the distinctive fabrication technique of Northern Thai silver currency of this period. |
