The upper legend QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER arcs around the outer rim, while a secondary inscription HER YOUTH IN GLAMIS CASTLE curves within the beaded border above the castle. The date 1995 appears in the lower exergue, flanked on either side by decorative sprigs of foliage. Small cross ornaments punctuate the outer field at the lateral positions.
