| Obverse description | Central device features the coat of arms of Western Samoa, comprising a quartered shield bearing a cross in the first quarter, wavy lines in the second, a coconut palm in the third, and five stars of the Southern Cross in the fourth, all enclosed within a wreath of olive branches.
