Obverse description The obverse displays the coat of arms of Samoa centrally positioned in the field, featuring a quartered shield bearing a stylized globe, the Southern Cross constellation of five stars, and a coconut palm, surmounted by a Latin cross above the shield and flanked on either side by laurel branches. A ribbon scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto in Latin script. The denomination '1 TALA' appears in the lower field, with the legends 'SAMOA · 2020' arcing above and '0.5 TROY OUNCE' and '999 FINE SILVER' flanking the central device on left and right respectively.
