| Reverse description | Central design features a large traditional Samoan wooden kava bowl (tanoa) shown in three-quarter perspective, supported on multiple carved legs, occupying the centre of the field. Crossed diagonally over the bowl are a kava stirring rod and a traditional fly whisk (fue), symbols of chiefly authority in Samoan culture. A finely striated fan-shaped element rises behind the bowl at upper right. The denomination legend 'ONE TALA' is inscribed in the lower exergue in bold upright Latin lettering. |
