Reverse description The reverse features a finely detailed coiled imperial five-clawed dragon rendered in high relief at center, its sinuous body occupying the majority of the field, surrounded by stylized clouds and crashing waves depicted at the base. The dragon's head faces left with an open mouth, prominent whiskers, and fierce expression characteristic of late Qing imperial coinage. Two ornamental rosettes flank the dragon at the left and right sides of the field. The outer legend reads FEN-TIEN PROVINCE in Latin characters arcing across the upper portion, with ONE TAEL inscribed along the lower arc, all within a reeded border. The silver fields display attractive iridescent toning with blue and golden hues.
