Beschrijving keerzijde	The reverse presents a full-color photographic rendering of the Plaza de la Independencia (Plaza Grande) in Quito, Ecuador, dominated by the tall neoclassical Monument to the Heroes of Independence, surmounted by a winged allegorical figure. To the left stands the ornate white baroque facade of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Quito, while to the right a colonial-style government building flies the Ecuadorian tricolor flag. Lush tropical palms and a blue sky with clouds fill the background, rendered in vivid applied color across the entire field. The curved legend XIII SERIE «CAPITALES IBEROAMERICANAS» arcs along the upper border, and the name QUITO is inscribed on a raised banner at the base.
