Reverse description The reverse features the crowned arms of Holland at centre, depicting a rampant lion to the left within a shield surmounted by a royal crown adorned with stylized floral finials. The denomination numeral 'I' appears to the left of the shield and the abbreviation 'S' (for Stuiver) to the right, flanking the arms symmetrically in the field. The toothed milled border surrounds the entire design. The heraldic composition is executed in a bold, high-relief style consistent with the Dutch provincial gold coinage of the early eighteenth century.
