| Obverse description | Host coin is a French Guiana (Cayenne) 2 sous piece, applied with two incuse countermarks: a closed 'S・E' punch (C12) stamped prominently in the central field, and a small 'P' punch (C13) applied in a raised circular incuse cartouche to the right. The host coin's obverse legend 'CAYENNE' and 'CO' fragments remain partially legible around the periphery, consistent with the colonial 2 sous coinage of French Guiana. The countermarks identify the coin as revalued currency authorized for circulation on Saint Eustatius. |
