| Descrizione del dritto | At center, the crowned municipal arms of Zutphen are depicted within a beaded inner circle, the crown positioned at top dividing the date 1605. The denomination mark '1 S' appears in the field flanking the shield. The surrounding Latin legend runs along the periphery, separated by stops, in the characteristic bold hammered lettering of early seventeenth-century Dutch municipal coinage. The overall composition is somewhat irregular in strike, consistent with hand-hammered production of the period. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | A bold cross with forked terminals and a voided center occupies the central field, its arms extending to divide the design into four quadrants, each containing an element of a quadrilobe ornament. The surrounding Latin motto legend is arranged in the outer field between the quadrilobe and the coin's edge, rendered in the characteristic hammered Gothic-influenced lettering of the period. The strike is characteristic of early seventeenth-century municipal hammered silver coinage, with some flatness and irregularity at the periphery. The design reflects the civic pride and Humanist epigraphic tradition common to Dutch city coinage of the early Dutch Republic era. |
