Reverse description Central motif consists of an ornate cross pattée with fleurs-de-lis terminating each arm, enclosing a small quatrefoil rosette at the center; four fleurs-de-lis are placed in the angles between the cross arms. The date 1503 appears within the surrounding legend in Gothic uncial lettering, which runs along the outer border within a beaded inner circle. The overall style is characteristic of late medieval Rhenish hammered coinage.
