Reverse description Central shield displaying the checkered arms of Mark, positioned over a cross patée whose arms extend to the inner circle, dividing the field into four quadrants. The shield is rendered in a Gothic heraldic style consistent with late 15th-century Rhenish coinage. A circular Gothic legend surrounds the composition, running along the outer rim. The irregular flan and flat, worn relief are characteristic of hammered silver issues of the period.
