正面描述 A rampant lion sejant facing left with head turned dexter, depicted in the Flemish heraldic tradition, rests upon a shield charged with the lion of Flanders. The figure occupies the central field of the coin, rendered in the bold, somewhat naive style characteristic of late 15th-century hammered Flemish coinage. The surrounding legend, separated from the field by a beaded inner border, runs clockwise in Gothic uncial characters and identifies the issuer as Philip, by God's grace Duke of Burgundy and Count of Flanders.

背面描述 A floriated long cross with decorative terminals dominates the central field, bearing a fleur-de-lis at the centre intersection. The four angles of the cross contain the Gothic letters G, A, N, and D, forming the abbreviation for GAND (Ghent), identifying the mint city. The whole is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, beyond which the legend runs in Gothic uncial script, the lettering struck in the characteristic hammered style of late medieval Flemish issues. The reverse design reflects the municipal and dynastic associations of this emergency coinage issued during the Ghent Revolt.
