| Obverse description | Central field displays a crowned quartered heraldic shield bearing the arms of Austria-Burgundy-Holland, with the diagonally striped arms of Holland (per bend wavy) prominently occupying the lower-left quarter. The shield is surmounted by an ornate crown rendered in relief. A circular beaded inner border frames the design, with the Latin legend running continuously around the outer periphery in uncial lettering, reading PH'S + DEI + GRA + ARCID + AVS + BG + C + HOL', identifying Philip by his titles as Archduke of Austria, Burgundy, and Count of Holland.
