| Obverse description | Central field depicts a stylized standing figure rendered in the bold, linear hammered style characteristic of the Khadga dynasty coinage of Samatata. The figure appears robed in a long garment with deeply incised vertical striations suggesting drapery folds, with arms extended and holding attributes. Flanking decorative elements and symbolic devices occupy the field. Brahmi legend śrī rājabhaṭa disposed around the design, invoking the royal title of the issuing ruler. The flan exhibits an irregularly scalloped rim consistent with the debased hammered technique employed in late seventh-century Bengal. |
