Obverse description A panoramic view of Belgrade in high relief occupies the central field, depicting the city skyline with the Kalemegdan fortress and its towers prominent above the confluence of two rivers. A heraldic shield surmounted by a five-pointed star appears at the top of the scene. The circular legend around the raised border reads in Latin script, with the inscription BEOGRAD 1952 appearing in the lower exergue area.

Reverse description The reverse features a large open wreath composed of an olive branch on the left and an oak branch on the right, tied at the base with a decorative ribbon bow, enclosing a plain central field intended for engraving.
