| Obverse description | Bare-headed draped bust of King Christian VII facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed queue-tied hair typical of late 18th-century portraiture. The effigy occupies the central field, with the peripheral legend reading CHRISTIANUS · VII · D · G · DAN · NORV · V · G · REX separated by dot stops. A mint mark 'B' appears in the lower field below the truncation. The portrait style is characteristic of the neoclassical engraving prevalent at the Altona Mint during this period. |
