| Beschrijving keerzijde | The Danish royal coat of arms, a large quartered shield surmounted by a royal crown and displayed beneath an elaborate draped canopy, occupies the central field. Two nude male supporters, rendered in the neoclassical style, stand flanking the shield on either side, each resting a hand upon it. The denomination legend 1 SPE CIES is divided across the upper field to either side of the canopy. Below the shield, the mintmaster's initial V, the date (e.g. 1846), and the mint assayer's initial S appear in the exergue area. A dentilated border surrounds the entire reverse design. |
