Obverse description Draped bust of King Christian V facing right, executed in high relief with fine portraiture characteristic of late 17th-century Kongsberg coinage. The Elephant Order badge appears prominently below the truncation of the bust as a mint or engravers mark. A Latin legend encircles the effigy in a clockwise direction, reading from the upper left. The entire design is contained within a beaded inner circle bordering the field.
