| Obverse description | Right-facing armored bust of King Christian V, wearing a crown and long flowing wig with curled locks characteristic of the late 17th-century baroque style. The king is depicted in elaborately engraved plate armor with a cravat at the throat and a decorative pauldron visible at the shoulder. The effigy fills the majority of the coin's field and is rendered in high relief with fine detail. The circular legend surrounding the bust reads CHRISTIAN 5 D G REX DAN NOR VA & GO, separated from the portrait by an inner border of small beads. |
