Bar and grill scrip from Cadott, a small lumber and railroad town in Chippewa County that never grew large enough to appear on most Wisconsin maps. Local merchant tokens and house scrip of this type circulated informally as drink tickets, food credits, or promotional currency — redeemable only at the issuing establishment and carrying no legal tender status whatsoever.
Cadott is best known among oddity collectors as the geographic center of the Northern Hemisphere, a distinction the town has commercially promoted since the 1970s.
