Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King George V, modeled by Edgar Bertram MacKennal, with a neatly trimmed beard and naturalistic portrait treatment characteristic of the Edwardian tradition. The truncation of the bust is cleanly cut at the shoulder. The surrounding legend is incuse and separated from the toothed border by a flat rim, reading continuously around the periphery of the field.
