Reverse description Ornately crowned quartered shield of arms at centre, bearing the royal arms of England, Scotland, France, and Hanover, set within an elaborate cartouche. The shield is surmounted by a jewelled crown with ornate scrollwork, and the entire composition is encircled by the legend in raised Roman capitals. The divided date 18-16 appears in the lower exergual area on either side of the shield's base. A beaded border frames the design at the rim.
