| Obverse description | Uncrowned, bare-headed effigy of King Charles III facing left, modelled in high relief by sculptor Martin Jennings. The portrait captures the monarch with naturalistic detail, including fine hair texture and a truncated neck. The circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy reading CHARLES III·DEI·GRA·REX·FID·DEF·, interrupted by raised dot separators, with the engraver's initials MJ incused at the portrait truncation. A finely reeded border frames the entire obverse field. |

| Reverse description | The iconic reverse depicts Benedetto Pistrucci's celebrated neoclassical composition of Saint George, helmeted and draped in a billowing cloak, mounted on a rearing horse and slaying the dragon with a broken lance. The dragon writhes beneath the horse's hooves in the lower field, with a broken sword also visible on the ground. The engraver's signature B.P. appears to the right of the exergue line, with the date 2026 inscribed centrally below, and the Royal Mint's mintmark to the lower left. The design is rendered in exceptional cameo relief characteristic of proof striking. |
