| Obverse description | A central bouquet design occupies the field, composed of multiple botanical elements including one or more maple leaves, shamrocks, thistles, wheat ears, blades, roses, and oak leaves, rendered in raised relief. The bouquet is characteristic of the Bouquet Sou series produced at the Belleville mint. The outer legend reads : AGRICULTURE & COMMERCE : BAS - CANADA, arranged around the periphery in Latin script. The overall design reflects the agricultural and commercial identity of Lower Canada during the colonial period. |

| Reverse description | A wreath of eighteen cherry leaves, tied at the base with a ribbon bow, frames the central field in raised relief. Three shamrocks are positioned among the wreath elements, a distinguishing variety feature of this issue. Within the central field, the denomination UN SOU is inscribed in two lines. The legend TOKEN arcs along the upper periphery and MONTREAL curves along the lower periphery, both in raised Latin lettering separated from the wreath by the coin's milled border. |
