| Reverse description | The reverse displays a two-line denomination inscription in the central field, reading .I. SOS.L / ING., identifying the coin as one Sosling. The denomination is enclosed within an inner beaded circle, surrounded by a circular Latin legend reading * DUX SCHLES : & HOL : 1682, giving the duke's title and the date of issue. The overall design is plain and utilitarian, consistent with the small fractional billon coinage of the Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorp duchy in the late seventeenth century. |
