Issued to mark the 30th anniversary of Kyrgyz independence, this piece belongs to a broader commemorative program through which the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has, since the early 2000s, produced thematic circulation-adjacent strikes aimed partly at domestic civic identity and partly at the collector market.
