Obverse description Facing helmeted and cuirassed bust of Justin II rendered in the frontal Byzantine imperial style, with the helmet featuring pendilia and a plume, the cuirass adorned with decorative elements. The emperor holds a spear over his right shoulder and a shield is visible at left.
