Reverse description A winged Victory stands facing left in the field, holding a long staff or cross-tipped sceptre in her right hand and a globus cruciger in her left. The figure is rendered in the elongated, stylized manner typical of late antique Byzantine solidi struck in the name of Anastasius I. A star appears in the right field. The reverse legend VICTORI - A AVCCC runs along the upper border, while the exergue bears the mint mark COMOB, denoting Constantinople and pure gold (obryzum). The legend terminates with a christogram, a distinctive feature of this Ostrogothic issue.
