Obverse description Pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Anastasius I facing right, holding a spear over the right shoulder in the manner of a military effigy. The bust is rendered in the late antique Imperial tradition, with fine detail on the helmet and cuirass. A surrounding Latin legend frames the portrait within the coin's circular field. The overall presentation follows the established Byzantine-influenced solidus typology adopted by the Burgundian court.
