Obverse description Right-facing diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantius II, rendered in high relief with fine detail characteristic of Constantinian-era solidi. The emperor wears an elaborate pearl diadem with pendilia falling behind the neck, and his paludamentum is fastened at the shoulder with a fibula. The facial features are rendered with youthful idealism, displaying a clean-shaven profile consistent with the imperial portraiture of the period. The circumferential Latin legend reads FL IVL CONSTANTIVS PF AVG, identifying the emperor as Flavius Julius Constantius, Pious and Fortunate Augustus. A beaded border frames the design.
